Apollo S34817 - Ultralam Water Based Digital Primers
S34817 - Ultralam Water Based Digital Primers are formulated primarily for printing onto PVC for the production of
plastic cards. They are used as a primer/laminating adhesive that can be overprinted by digital printing
inks. They may also be used on other substrates such as PETG, Paper and Board.
These products have a low VOC (Volatile Organic Content) and so can aid in environmental performance
improvement when compared to printing with solvent-based coatings.
Ultralam Water Based Digital Primers provide high lamination bond strengths when compared to other
technologies. The inks are also water reducible and exhibit extremely low odour. In addition, screens can
be cleaned up with water.
Ultralam Water Based Digital Primers have been initially tested with a limited number of digital ink
systems. Results show that a thinner primer deposit gives optimum results. It is highly recommended that
full testing is performed before commencing a production run.
